Windsor Track Scale

From DARwiki

The Track Scale in Windsor was a 120 ton Fairbanks model scale installed second hand in 1941,[1] in the Windsor Railyard on the north side of the Truro Subdivision mainline. A smaller track scale was located in Kentville. The scale was often used to weigh gypsum cars being trans-shipped to other parts of Canada to ensure they did not exceed running limits.[2] The scale remained in use when the DAR was sold to the Windsor and Hantsport Railway. Vinyl siding was added over the old CPR clapboard about 2005.
