Clarke's History of the Earliest Railways in Nova Scotia

From DARwiki

Clarke's History of the Earliest Railways in Nova Scotia: A Brief History of Firsts and Other Interesting Stage and Railway Facts etc. in Ye Olde Goode Tymes

Clarke was a DAR conductor in the formative days of the DAR and wrote this anecdotal history of the DAR about 1925. There are some great rare half-tone photographs and lots of mentions of specific locomotives. While not very well edited and a bit rambling, it is a wonderful personalized look at the DAR in its busiest years. It is hard to find as it was printed in a limited run on inexpensive acidic paper.
