This photo collection in Ottawa has been digitized. I'm pleased to say it is chock full of NS railway b&w and colour shots going back to the end of the steam era. There is a bit of DAR: steam in Digby, a ballast train at Annapolis and RDC's at various locations. Also uber rare stuff such as a GMD-1 and a trio of RSC-13's in Bridgewater. Check out the Mulgrave ferry on both sides of the straight as well. Enjoy!

Re: C. Robert Craig Memorial Collection
Here's a shot from the Craig collection that has me stumped on location. The sequence shows this train at Annapolis dropping the van, then heading west towards the Allain River bridge to dump ballast. The curve may be exagerated by a zoom lens. By the look of the North mountain, I'm thinking this is somewhere in the west end of the Valley, perhaps between Bridgetown and Annapolis. Dated 09-1988. To find the sequence, search "8134."

Hi Matt,
What criteria in what fields are you searching for? I went to the Craig Collection and entered "8134" in Equipment>Number and got nothing, then tried CP 8134 in Owner/Number and got nothing again.
Scrolled through 7000 pictures and still haven't found the one off the DAR.

Hey Paul,
I searched Equipment>Number with "8134" and got five results. Not sure what's happening on your end.

Re: C. Robert Craig Memorial Library Collection
Morning Matt,
I've been trying after setting the collection to the Craig Collection, (03) but the five DAR photos turned up without setting the collection as they are (02)! Found them, now to find the location of the two shots. One has a short trestle on an "S" curve and it'b between Annapolis Royal and the the ballast pit about ten miles north, shouldn't be too hard.
