- Original Photo description from seller: NOVA SCOTIA TRAIN PHOTO. DOMINION ATLANTIC RAILWAY TRAIN. Size 4 x 6 inch reprint photo with glossy finish. Shown here at Windsor, Nova Scotia Observation/Buffet/Parlor car on 98 EXPRESS from Kentville to Halifax on Sept.10, 1937. Has "Land of Evangeline Route" on rear platform.
Scanned at DPI 300 with filters for improved image quality.
- Corrections and additions noted to original description: Train No. 98 was from Yarmouth to Halifax. From photo taken the same day, loco No. 2552 was leading the train with most likely mail car No. 3713. Observation car is either the Annapolis Royal or judging by the length of the lettering, most likely sister car Grand Pré. In 1937, train was listed in the passenger schedule as "Mail Express".
