No. 556 leads a wrecked Westbound freight, derailed by deadheaded switcher 6109 at North Range on the Yarmouth Sub, June 1928. According to Ron Haight, the driver was "Bisquit" Corning, who was well known for a heavy hand on the throttle and his taste for liquor. Apparently, Corning was fired and re-hired by the DAR several times.
