Summary
DAR locomotive No. 43 "Byng" and crew at Kentville with Governor General Lord Byng's special train, photographed by A. L. Hardy, August, 1923. This photo was published in the Halifax Herald on Aug. 7, 1923 with an article about the locomotive, newly named in honour of the Governor General. Crew are, felt to right: William Lockhart, travelling fireman; Hugh Copeland, engineer and fireman Ira Ritchie.[1]
