Original file (2,221 × 1,500 pixels, file size: 785 KB, MIME type: image/jpeg)
A clip of the March 18, 1918 C.P.R. track profile drawing showing Kentville. The orientation of the track is west to the left (looking from the south). Note that Kentville was originally mile 56.16 of the Halifax subdivision that ran to Middleton before the 1918 reassignment of the subdivisions. The two different numbers indicate the creation of the Kentville sub from the Halifax sub and the new and old mileage (0 and 56.16) are indicated. The track schematics were known to have been updated until at least 1935 from notes made on other sections of this schematic.
Includes important details such as the Kentville Machine Shop, built in 1920 and shows the 6-stall roundhouse before it was expanded to 10 stalls in 1926. Also of note is the depiction of two of the Kentville Water Towers, the old DAR 35,000 gallon tank with stand pipe south of the Railyard and the 10,000 gallon CPR style tank beside the turntable.
