DAR steamship SS Prince Rupert at the Digby Wharf on the St. John - Digby service. Running in direct competition with the Bay of Fundy Steamship Line's SS Monticello, Prince Rupert's superior performance forced the competing Monticello off the run. Note:The vessel has sometimes been identified as the Bay of Fundy Steamship Company's SS Monticello. However the vessel in this photo lacks Monticello's walking beam and white paint scheme. This longer vessel is the DAR's SS Prince Rupert.
