A D.A.R Steamship Lines broach belonging to his mother and donated to the museum by Iain Murray of Scotland. By merit of the sale of the D.A.R. SS Line to the Boston & Yarmouth Co. in 1912, it is estimated to be between 1895 and 1912. The Royal crown is distinctly Victorian which differs from the St. Edward style that publications, food service items and engine numberplates used. The coat of arms is the 1867-1929 coat of arms of Nova Scotia.
