From DARwiki
Digby Pines Resort Hotel
The DAR built the Pines in 1917 just outside Digby on the site of small earlier hotel of the same name. It was expanded rebuilt by the railway in 1929. A seasonal operation from June to September, it included 31 cottages. A large golf course was part of the hotel which included some old railway cuttings of the original approach tracks to Digby from the old Western Counties Railway. The hotel still operates today, even through the DAR trains and steamers are long gone.
