G-2 Pacific No. 2528 at the Bear River curve approaching the Bear River Bridge, circa 1956. Engineer believed to be Harry Balsor with Ralph Schofiel as fireman.[1] Note Digby Gap in background, where the Annapolis Basin empties into the Bay of Fundy. Locomotive has stopped for the benefit of a Nova Scotia Information Service photographer. (Note steam venting from safety valve durign stop.)
