The Weekly Monitor and Western Annapolis Sentinel - January 3 1908 - North Mountain Railway Proposed
A news article was published in the January 3 1908 issue of The Weekly Monitor and Western Annapolis Sentinel newspaper saying that the DAR had requested a change in its charter to allow construction of a new branch line. This eventually was called the North Mountain Railway (which became the Weston Subdivision). The scan of the article appears below, while the article text is shown here for search purposes:

North Mountain Railway.
It now looks as if the long looked for and much talked about railway from a point in the Cornwallis Valley West was about to be built. The Dominion Atlantic people are asking to have their Charter amended giving them a right to build this line, and it is hoped it will soon become accomplished fact.
The construction of the Cornwallis Valley proved a great boon to the locality through which it passed as well as to its present owners, and we believe the proposed new branch will do the same. That portion of the North Mountain adjacent to the Cornwallis Valley line is now producing great quantities of produce, and it is confidently expected the same rule will apply in the Western districts. — Exchange
