1868 Nova Scotia Chapter 24 - An Act to Assess the Windsor and Annapolis Railway Company for Dyke rates
An Act was approved by the Nova Scotia legislature on September 21 1868 to declare the Windsor and Annapolis Railway to be subject to the terms of provincial acts regarding maintenance of dykes where railway property beneffited from a dyke. CHAPTER 24.
An Act to Assess the Windsor and Annapolis Railway Company for Dyke rates.
(Passed the 21st day of September, A. D, 1868.)
Be it enacted by the Governor, Council, and Assembly, as follows:
SECTION 1--Proprietors of Windsor and Annapolis Railway to be assessed for dyke rates, under Cap. 72 and 74 of Revised Statutes.
1. The proprietors of the Windsor and Annapolis Railway way and their assigns, in so far as the said Railway shall be constructed on or shall occupy by stations, buildings or otherwise any dyked marsh lands in the Counties of Hants, Kings, and Annapolis under the supervision of Commissioners of Sewers shall in all respects be subject to the regulations of the Acts Chapter 72 of the Revised Statutes, “Of Commissioners of Sewers and the regulating of Diked and Marsh Lands,” Chapter 74 “Of Common Fields,” and the Acts in amendment thereof, in the same manner and to the same extent as other proprietors of said diked marsh lands are subject.
