1912 Nova Scotia Chapter 201 - An Act to Amend Chapter 136 of the Acts of 1910, entitled, “An Act respecting the North Mountain Division of The Dominion Atlantic Railway.”
An Act was approved by the Nova Scotia legislature on April 12th 1912 making some amendments to the 1910 act (Chapter 136 Acts of 1910) concerning the North Mountain Division (which became the Weston Subdivision) as requested by the council of Kings County. The purpose was two fold: to extend the time allowed for completion of the line, and to clarify the rights of the company in expropriating land for its line.

Summary of sections of Chapter 201 Acts of 1912
The preamble mentions that the Council of Kings County requested two modifications to the 1910 act respecting the North Mountain Division:
- to extend the time for completion from June 1, 1912 to June 1, 1914.
- to ensure the DAR got full allowance for its right to expropriate lands for its line of railway under the federal Railway Act (Chapter 37, Revised Statutes of Canada, 1906), but no more than allowed.
Section 1 extends the time for completion to June 1, 1914.
Section 2 states the railway will not be permitted to expropriate more land than permitted under the federal legislation.
There seems to have been some uncertainty that the original 1910 act required the railway to file certain plans under the federal act, but did not clearly apply the limits on acquisition of lands contained in that federal act.
