DAR0534
Dominion Atlantic Railway Steam Locomotive No. 534
According to Don Lewis, DAR Engine 534 on Page 36 of Steam in Canada (Canadian Pacific Steam Locomotives) in Dominion Atlantic livery at Yarmouth on July 25, 1942. Unit carried same number on CPR prior to 1937 when it was assigned to the DAR.
Reported in the book as a D6a, by CPR Diagrams and data by Omer Lavalle, this would have been a D6b by the series of locos and by the extremely close trailing guide wheel to the first driver. This series (536 - 539) was built by the North British Locomotive Company in Glasgow, Scotland between November and December 1903. This particular loco was built in November 1903. This loco was not on the CPR 1947 revised roster so it is by series and photographic evidence that we assume the class and build date.
