A D.A.R Steamship Lines broach belonging to his mother and donated to the museum by Iain Murray of Scotland. By merit of the sale of the D.A.R. SS Line to the Boston & Yarmouth Co. in 1912, it is estimated to be pre 1912. The Royal crown is distinctly Victorian which differs from the Tudor Henry VII/Edward VII style that the as printed versions and engine numberplates use. The coat of arms is the 1867-1929 coat of arms of Nova Scotia.
