The Train Station was built where Three Mile House once stood on the Bedford Highway. The Three Mile House, a favourite picnic place, was built in 1857 and was owned by a Mr. Gough who also owned a zoo. It was demolished in 1918 to make way for the Train Station. | ||

Fairview (Halifax) Nova Scotia Station 1920s. Photographer unknown. This image originally appeared in early June 2019 on a Facebook page "OLD Black and White Pictures of Halifax, Nova Scotia" but is not on that site now (June 19, 2019). "The original Fairview Train Station is our picture of choice for the Fairview Historical Society. It was built around 1919 and located near, what was known as the Fairview underpass.
