G-2 Pacific No. 2528 at the Bear River curve approaching the Bear River Bridge, circa 1956. Engineer believed to be Harry Balsor with Ralph Schofiel as fireman.[1] Note Digby Gap in background, where the Annapolis Basin empties into the Bay of Fundy. Locomotive has stopped for the benefit of a Nova Scotia Information Service photographer. (Note steam venting from safety valve durign stop.) Three express fruit cars are acting as baggage and express cars. H.B. Jensen photo, from the Doug Shaffner collection.
