Dominion Atlantic Ry.—In an interview at Montreal, Oct. 30, Sir Thos. Shaughnessy is reported to have.said that all the bridges on the line are being renewed as fast as possible. The track will be relaid with heavier rails, and everything will be brought up to C.P.R. standards. He expects that the entire work will be completed within two years. He could make no statement as to the company’s entrance into Halifax. At present the D.A. Ry. operates the Windsor branch of the Intercolonial Ry. under an agreement, thus securing an entrance to Halifax. [See also article of] (Nov., pg. 557.)
