Summary
DAR locomotive No. 470 on the Kentville Turntable with the Kentville Water Tower in the background at its original location by the turntable. No. 470 appears freshly shopped suggesting the photo was taken shortly after it arrived on the DAR on 1941, circa 1942. Photograph by Charles McBride, Album No. 2. Note interesting details of the turntable repair pit, used to create access under the turntable bridge for permit repair of pit bearings as well as DAR Yard Crane No. 3 working the cinder piles in the background to the right.
