These photographs were taken by my father, Dr. John A. MacIntosh (Phd), a long time transportation and railroad enthusiast. His passion was the DAR, and even had a model train layout named the "Diminutive Atlantic Railroad", after the DAR. His ties to Canada were his relatives living in Truro and Halifax, although he was born and raised in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn, NY. He spent his adult life living on Long Island, NY, and teaching Transportation at a New York City College. He passed away at 81, and now his memory lives on through his photographs.
