The Railway and Marine World - 1910-03 - North Mountain Branch Construction-Time Extension Application
A news article was published in the March 1910 issue of The Railway and Marine World trade magazine saying the DAR had applied for a time-extension to construct the new North Mountain Division (Centreville to Somerset). This eventually was built as the Weston Subdivision. The scan of the article appears below, while the article text is shown here for search purposes:
Dominion Atlantic Ry.—Application is being made to the Dominion Parliament to extend the time within which the company may commence and complete the construction of the North Mountain Division, the construction of which was authorized by chap. 101 of the statutes of 1908. The line in question is projected to start from the old Cornwallis Valley Ry. between Kentville and Canning westerly to the company’s railway between Berwick and Middleton, or some point between the main line and North Mountain.
