Army Base Support
Two major Army camps were located along the DAR. Camp Aldershot, north of Kentville on the Cornwallis Valley Railway was established as a militia training base in 1904, expanding in World War I and II. Fort Edward in Windsor served as a major training and billeting base in World War I.
