It is interesting to note that by 1958, this service was being serviced by Dayliners but because of heavy traffic as indicated in photo (To be inserted), steam loco and regluar passenger cars were pressed into service for that day adding the Dayliner car on to the end.

Locomotive No. 2501 headed west towards Yarmouth while loading passengers at the Kentville Station in Kentville on August 1, 1958. This is a sister shot to DAR2501a.jpg. On the left side is van No. 435797. This is a sister photo to B&W photo Image:DAR2501c.jpg and colour slide Image:DAR2501a.jpg in which the description indicates that "No. 2501 4-6-2 with combine and steel coach coupling on to Dayliner at Kentville preparing to leave for Yarmouth on July 31, 1958."
