Dominion Atlantic Railway Maintenance Of Way and Non-Revenue Equipment

One of the toughest areas to track is the MOW area of equipment. Often a rag-tag collection of ex-mainline service rolling stock that is past it's prime time but can survive for years after in a number of different MOW roles. We do our best to organize and identify what they are and where they came from. The DAR followed CPR practice in designating its MOW cars "Service", indicating that they were non revenue work cars. DAR works cars were often, although not always, lettered "Service" when they became MOW equipment.
