The C. Robert Craig Memorial Library was founded in 1994. It was was established to collect, preserve and make available to the public, materials that document the history of rail transportation in Canada. Materials focusing on the railways around Ottawa area are of particular interest. The Library has a significant collection of books, magazines, photographs, slides, plans, and archival materials of Ottawa area railway-related organizations. The objective is to provide a comprehensive research base for those seeking information about Canadian railways. A reent addition are the Canadian railway slides of David Othen which included extensive DAR and Windsor and Hantsport Railway material.

All of David's Canadian slides are now in the care of the C. Robert Craig Memorial Library while Othens international slides and all of the videotapes are now part of the Middleton Railway Museum.

Use of Contributed Material

The C. Robert Craig Memorial Library has given the DARDPI permission to continue to use David Othens images.
