Model RDC Phase I

HO Scale

Early in the last decade, Life-Like released Phase I RDC 1, 2 and 3 models. Liveries included CPR maroon and yellow, CP Rail Action Red, VIA and Dominion Atlantic, although technically inaccurate, as the DAR lettered cars were Phase II.

Late in 2012, Walthers (who now owns Life-Like) released the RDC with a beautiful metal finish, but only with U.S. road names. Canadian roads may be released in the future.

M.T.S. imported brass Phase I RDC's in the 2000's.

Hallmark imported brass Phase I RDC's in the 1980's.

N Scale

Kato produced Phase I RDC 1, 2, 3 and 4 models. Canadian Pacific's maroon and yellow livery was offered, but would not be accurate for Phase I DAR RDC's. The model would be accurate for the combination "hockey mask" ends with the maroon letter board and the Action Red letter board scheme.

Con-Cor offered various Phase I RDC models, but they are not proportioned accurately and have a toy like appearance. The Kato models are a much better choice.

O Scale

Sunset Models produced brass RDC-1 and RDC-2 models.
