An Act was approved by the Nova Scotia legislature on March 26 1908 to amend the incorporation of the [[:Category:Subdivision_Weston|North Mountain Railway]] Company [[1902_Nova_Scotia_Chapter_130_-_An_Act_to_incorporate_the_North_Mountain_Railway_Company,_Limited|Chapter 130 of the Acts of 1902]] and [[1904_Nova_Scotia_Chapter_137_-_An_Act_to_amend_Chapter_130_of_the_Acts_of_1902,_entitled,_"An_Act_to_incorporate_the_North_Mountain_Railway_Company,_Limited.”|a 1904 amendment]] and [[1906_Nova_Scotia_Chapter_163_-_An_Act_to_amend_Chapter_130,_Acts_of_1902,_entitled,_"An_Act_to_incorporate_the_North_Mountain_Railway_Company,_Limited,_and_Acts_in_amendment_thereof."|a 1906 amendment]]. The amendment gave the company more time to commence construction. The original incorporation required the company to begin “effective work” by March 27, 1904. The 1904 extended this to March 27, 1906. The 1906 amendment gave another two years of time, to March 27, 1908. This 1908 amendment extended the deadline to July 1, 1909; about 15 months.<br>

There was also a change to the incorporating shareholders: C. Fitch Kemp was removed, and John M. Denny replaced Archibald Denny.<br>

Be it enacted by the Governor, Council, and Assembly, as follows:—<br>

[Section 1 amended.]<br>
1. Section 1 of Chapter 130, Acts of 1902, is amended by striking out the name of C. Fitch Kemp and substituting the name of John M. Denny for Archibald Denny in said section.<br>
<br>
[Section 33 amended.]<br>
2. Section 33 of said Chapter 130 of the Acts of 1902, as amended, and section 1 of Chapter 137 of the Acts 1903-4, and section 1 of Chapter 163 of the Acts of 1906, are struck out and the following section is substituted for said section 33: "This Act shall cease and determine if effective work shall not be begun before the first day of July, 1909," and except as amended hereby said Chapter 130 of the Acts of 1902 is confirmed.<br>
