Middleton station circa 1904
This was at Roger's house. Information on the back says the photo is from teh collection of Don Bowlby. It was mounted and was for sale at one time through Roger's shop

Re: Middleton station circa 1904
I have always wondered about this pre 1915 Middleton Station. Why was it so large? I know it served both the DAR and the CNR but what was in those three floors and tower. Did it house CNR offices or a restaurant? It seems so out of scale from the small town station that replaced it.

A station of that size might mean that someone had high hopes for Middleton. It's certainly an impressive building.

Terry at the Memory Lane told me that Middleton was originally the planned division point for the DAR. So if it was to be the DAR headquarters, that would explain the large facility.
Other than that, what about a hotel?
