Dinning Car Menu - era 1930
I won this item off of ebay the other week, and the seller listed it as maybe being from the 1930's. After looking at the menu and noticing a menu item Evangeline Pale Dry Ginger Ale and some google searching I found that this might have been made by Evangeline Beverages Ltd which according to this NS Archives site http://gov.ns.ca/nsarm/virtual/eastcoas ... &Start=346. That this company has been in business for a while as they were around during the second world war. So I'm going to say that it's possible this menu was printed in the 1930's

Wow. That's very cool.
George Graham was the Gen Mgr from 1915 to 1940 so it couldn't be any newer than 1940.

I also suspect that the "7-30-500" at the bottom of the same page may indicate that the menu is from July 1930. What the 500 means is a mystery but the 7-30 could well be the date.
Can we put it on the wiki? If you would prefer, you could start to upload image scans like that yourself. I can give you edit access to the wiki if you like. Just say the word.
PS. what does the "HRM" mean in your signature?

HRM is Halifax Regional Municipality I write that instead of which part of HRM I'm living in.
Yeah I didn't notice those number until my boss pointed them out to me a couple of days later after I made the post. The thought the same thing you did for maybe the date being July 1930 and the 500 could be the number in the run. The only way to tell is if someone else gets a menu to compare too!
Yes you can post it on the wiki, though what I'll do for my books I got I'll make them into a PDF document and post them that way once you've given me access.
Do you have a book section on the wiki?

Great! But PDFs aren't going to work on the wiki. I need to install an extension to make PDFs readable and unfortunately I've got an (unresolved up to now) issue with the graphics rendering program (ImageMagick) that I need to do that.
I think that getting you access to the wiki so you can directly upload JPGs is the best bet. Then I can show you how easy it is. You can see from the first links to the brochures and articles how we do multi page publications instead of PDFs. Works pretty well. This is the result:

I have uploaded a few of my promotional items you may enjoy as well. there's a lot of stuff on the wiki that just takes some wandering around to find.
Check out these areas:

http://www.dardpi.ca/wiki/index.php?tit ... y:Articles
And make sure you browse thorugh every subcategory under:

Of particular interest may be:
http://www.dardpi.ca/wiki/index.php?tit ... ime_Tables

There's almost 2200 inages on the wiki so lots to look at and much more to come. I have another couple hundred that I'm chipping away at.
