It would help immensely to identify some photos if we knew on what dates paints schemes came and went on the Dayliners.
It's way too complicated for the steam engines but 9058 and 9059 should be a cinch to figure it out within a year.
So.. first question.
9058. Was wrecked in 1966 and sent back to Montreal. At the time of the wreck, it was still in the War Paint scheme. Right?
9057 came in to replace it. It was wearing the hockey mask upon arrival. Right? It still had however, the old tuscan letter board with Canadian Pacific on it.
At what point was the Dominion Atlantic 9059 repainted with the hockey mask?
When were all the units repainted to CP Rail?
