I believe Loco 504 was "Poutrincourt" not 502. The evidence is as so:
http://www.images.technomuses.ca/search ... 90&lang=en shows number 504 with a longish nameplate that ends in "...RT". http://dardpi.ca/wiki/index.php?title=F ... -B0006.jpg shows 504 with a long name plate that is unreadable, but looks to be longer than needed for 7 letters as in "Halifax". http://www.images.technomuses.ca/search ... 91&lang=en also shows 504 with a long name plate.
Pictures of No. 502 on the other hand either show no name plate at all, or the picture at http://www.images.technomuses.ca/search ... 8&lang=en1 captioned as 502 shows a name plate that seems to begin "BLU..." and is very short - not long enough for the 12 letters in "Poutrincourt". Also, that photo (with the "BLU...") is captioned as being 502 but none of the numbers are readable.
Is it possible No. 44 was renumbered 504 and not 502 but kept the Poutrincourt name?
Should the "Halifax" reference on no. 504 page be changed to "Poutrincourt"? And corresponding other edits of 521, 502 and 44 made?

But then what are we to make of the picture at: http://www.images.technomuses.ca/search ... 96&lang=en? Sure looks like it is 504 (numbers not entirely clear) that is clearly named "Halifax"?
Did 504 get two different names? Some other locos did have more than one name during their DAR career.
Argh!

Clearly 504 indeed was Halifax. But it also appears it bore another name. The question is what? The photo is very unclear. The only other known name of this ending it RT was CLEMENTSPORT.
The list http://dardpi.ca/wiki/index.php?title=C ... ocomotives shows many named locomotives that bore with multiple numbers.
This is a great find though to see that 504 bore another name!
