I just discovered tonight a conflict in the date of arrival of No. 2209. Our notes indicate that it arrived in July 1958 but upon examination of train orders it appears that the engine was already operating on November 19, 1957!
Check it out here:

Steve;
My roster notes give the arrival of 2209 as November 1957, which coincides with your train order. That must have been one of her first runs.

Re: DAR 2209
Great! I've then corrected the 2209 record on the wiki accordingly.
I still have yet to finish adding in all your locomotive roster data with all the other contributions I've been working on entering. The Robert Greenwood contributions predates yours and while I got a good chunk of the most important data from all collections on right away, there's still a lot more to come from yourself, Robert Greenwood and the MacIntosh collection.
These train orders are excellent to have and very useful too on both the locomotive and operating schedule side.

Re: DAR 2209
This is a great group for getting to the bottom of things, as there are always conflicting facts coming from different sources. By pooling our information a lot of questions get answered, sometimes by merely adding one small item which in itself seems meaningless. Documents like those train orders can be a great help in proving the right or wrong of other info, as well as give a glimpse of the everyday life of the railway.
