I have found in the CPR MP14 of 1947 on page 7 & 8 a Mogul (2-6-0) type listed as a DAR unit with the number 29. Interesting piece of information because up to now we think that we have only one Mogul, No. 28. Unfortunately the 1947 MP14 is missing the detail page (10-11) that would further identify the engine. I have written to Jeff Pinchbeck and alerted him to this problem. Hopefully he can get the book back to the scanner sometime soon. http://www.cpsig.ca/data/Equipment_List ... ipment.pdf
OK. Continuing on, the MP14 for 1941 does NOT list a DAR No. 29 or a mogul, however, there IS a mogul number No. 29 AND 37 listed as Quebec Central on page 7 http://www.cpsig.ca/data/Equipment_List ... ipment.pdf. IS IT POSSIBLE that the DAR had a Quebec Central Mogul on the tracks in the mid forties after the DAR's original Mogul was scrapped that everybody has missed? We already have other examples of QC inventory on the DAR like No. 999 and No. 405801.

Not sure what to make of that. I would have thought that an additional mogul would have really stuck out and been noted by other DAR train spotters and photographers, but stranger things have happened.
