Beta 8 is running perfectly! The 20 CNR car pack so far is flawless too.
Thanks a million Paul!

Re: Beta 8
Hi Steve,
You're welcome!
Kind of heading for Windsor Junction now, after connecting Windsor to Newport. Have scenery completed to Stillwater siding, planted the roads for the next six miles today... should have scenery completed to MP 14 by the end of the week.

Re: Beta 8
I like starting from Windsor but when I start heading east on the south track I can't head to Brooklyn if I want. Can you start the train either on the north track or before the switch before the station so I can go either to Brooklyn or Windsor junction without having to back up and switch tracks?
Easter Egg - There's a tree in the middle of the highway a mile west of the Newport siding. hah ha.
SW1200RS questions. There appears to be smoke only from the front exhaust, not both. Is that an Open Rails things or is that how you made it? Is there anyway to increase the "exhaust smoke pulse". At higer speeds you can see the smoke balls separated as they are coming out. FYI only, still can only hear the horn from inside the cab. Engines noise is in and out but the horn is only heard inside. Weird huh? FYI only!!
Do you know of anyway to render high res images from an MSTS layout? I'm thinking a third party utility or a special switch in the program. This is all I could find:

Looking forward to more!

Hi Steve,
You could back the train clear of the switch, then head up the Truro Sub or Edit the activity to start the activity heading north on the Truro Sub. If you still have the editors loaded from MSTS and can open the Activity editor and need help, just let me know.
Yes, the tree in the middle of the highway was there back in 1973, thing it finally was hit by a large truck in '75, they trucker is still being held awaiting trial. OK, that's just bull! Take a screen shot of the offending tree and I'll have a look, might be the "road disappearing into the trees" and do most roads on the route.
Smoke issues are a Open Rails problem, smoke does appear from both stacks in MSTS. The horn is also an Open Rails problem, can hear it inside and outside the cab in MSTS. Guess they have a few issues to solve, probably in order of what they think they can do and what they deem the most important.
I just used the print screen screen grab like anyone else, I then save them in Corel as jpgs. This drops them form about 1800 KB to 350ish, maybe saving them at a higher dpi would make them better, but then you have to think about people out there with slow connections and sharing your shots with them as well.
Placed the two overpass bridges for highway 101 over the DAR near MP 16 this evening... cool stuff.
