Just to let you know I've suspended working on the route until that missing nine miles of Satellite shots gets posted to either Google Earth of Bing. Without this it just doesn't make sense to continue working on the route with no assurance the missing mileage will ever get uploaded. This is the most important part of the route, the busiest part of the entire railway.
There has only been one upload to Bing in the last year, a few miles from Wolfville to just short of Hantsport. I've been watching the lack of satellite updated for about three years now and have to admit I'm getting a little tired of holding my breath waiting for them. If they do show up I'll be back on the job, in the mean time I'll be working on other projects.
Haven't built anything between Hantsport and Windsor. If you zoom in to the poor quality satellite shots that have available now there are places you can't even follow the mainline (what I have down in the last beta is the rough location and a bit of guessing where I couldn't find any trace of the mainline in the current satellite shots). Buildings are a blob at best, when the decent satellite shots become available I'll use them to measure buildings as I've been able to do for the previous part of the route.
I just posted an update for the Springfield Terminal route, cosmetic more then anything. I'm working on another week of activities for it right now. Not exactly sure what I'll do after that, have an idea or two I'll checking out.
Do you think that the CVR section would be worthy of your attention? All the sat shots are there from Weston to Kingsport.
One could hide the end of the 70's line with some bushes at Steam Mills but pressing on through the bushes would continue the line to Centreville and Weston/Kingsport (like a time warp!)? Alternatively one could just include the Kentville yards and CVR track and make it a really small but lively line by itself for now.
It's a great little short line to be sure.
I also received a note from Harold that he has the Yarmouth yard now build and is going to start the run to Annapolis.
I am struggling to learn TSM as I am determined to build some 10 wheelers. Got any model files that might give me a good idea of how others built these things or even a good start?
