Dual Cabs

Post by stem »

I've looked through everything I have and I can't find an example of a single unit with dual cab controls to useas an example to add this feature in to the DAR Dayliners.

Would anyone have a .ENG file from an engine with operating dual cabs that I could use to copy?

This feature will only work however if you are running the Train.exe executable from MSTS BIN.

Hi Steve,

I'll look through the RDCs on TrainSim and if I can't find any with reversible cabs I'll ask why.

This is one of those things that would work well for a run to Halifax and back, one of the time table has a twenty minute stop that might be doable in MSTS with appropriate AI traffic.

Thanks for the CVF files. They did let me switch cabs from one end to the other when stopped. However.. the exterior lights don't work at all when you switch to the other end of the cab.

I'm trying to figure it out but so far.. no joy.

When we get this ironed out, I'm going to pack up my RDCs and put them in the file section. Last November I had finished the Warpaint version but wanted to run them around for a while before distributing. There's also a few minor fixes for the Warpaint version too. Look nice having all 4 available.

I'll have to get moving next on the CP Rail versions and then on to the list of other rolling stock you wanted.

Hi Steve,

Hadn't thought about the lights, think there needs to be a section in the ENG file that will need to be added. I did this with the FJ&G doodlebug a few years ago, so I have something similar to work from... I'll correct the marker light issue while I'm at it.
