Paul... your consist organization is so organized I just had to ask if you had a build sheet for all of them.

It look likes specific consists for specific industries and sidings all organized to support a number of activities.

Certainly you didn;t just build this off the top of your head... or did you>

Morning Steve,

At one time you could only edit existing consists, glad they's improved. can you create a loose consist, that's just a car in a siding that you may or may not pick up during an operating session.

Yup. Had to check, but yes I could create a loose consist.

So like I said, did you have some kind of planning sheet for all the consists you created before?

The more I look at this the more I realize how much time you put into creating all these activities, work order sheets and maps. Wow.

I'm pretty sure I'm getting the drift of this though and we defintely need to all work off the same activity. I ran two different activities on the multi-player as a test and lets say the results were "interesting" !!

Morning Steve,

Sorry I didn't pick up on this earlier, I failed to see it went to page 2 and wondered why I didn't see a new reply!

The way I set up my activities was I picked a month from the data a compiled that shows what customers were getting what cars from Truro. I then set up a calendar and if customer "A" got 9 cars that month, I counted the number of working days that the train would have operated that month and divided the 9 cars by that number, then entered that in a calculator and kept adding it to to itself and each time it created a whole number I would add a car to the calendar until I had 9 cars for that customer that month. I did that for all the customers that month.

That gives you the traffic coming down from Truro but you need to add the traffic coming from Halifax and Dartmouth. That's going to be about the same number of cars per month as the Truro traffic. The Halifax traffic is basically covered hoppers of flour, and a boxcar or two of LCL from the Halifax station. The Dartmouth traffic is made up mostly of fuel in tankcars and a bit of beer in insulated boxcars. Typically it might be 4 covered hoppers, a 40' CP box of LCL, a 50' CN insulated box, and 6 tankcars. The fuel would be delivered all along the line right to Yarmouth, and that would include a couple of cars a week for Greenwood. Beer was sent all the way down to Yarmouth along with flour for various bakeries. The LCL car would have gone to CP Express in Kentville.

I'll see what I have for the month I was setting up when I last did the activities for v2 and send it along.

I continue to make my way through your activities! They are very realistic. Once I'm done going through them and taking notes, I'll combine a few of them - enough for 3 or 4 players at the most between Kentville and Windsor. Probably 2 freight runs, a yard activity and a gypsum run.

Hi Steve,

For the most part I tried to base all the activities on one all the operations that went on during one day.

I have gone through my notes from when I created the activities but when you haven't looked at them for five years you need to take a little while to figure out what means what! I'll get them figured out and to you soon.

Paul :-)
