Glad you made it out of bed today too!
Did I pick up on a few new cars the last 2 releases or was it just the latest? That 64 Chev looks just like my old one.
This by the way was taken in 1976. They had just moved the river the year before and you can see the new bridge in the background. That's my folks house who lived right by the new river in Pleasant Heights.

Re: Middleton!
Hi All,
Made it through Middleton this week, thought I'd take a few pictures for you.
Pretty quiet in the morning until Train 1 arrives at 1126:

Train 2 is next at 1413:

Canadian National arrives a short time later and drops off a couple of empty woodchip cars before heading to Bridgetown:

About two hours later CN returns from Bridgetown and finishes their work in Middleton:

Early in the evening Train 26 arrives from the south, does their work:

Train 26 holds the main while waiting for Train 25 to arrive:

The day in Middleton ends when Train 25 completes their local work and continues south:

Yepper. That was the folks house on Pond drive alright. A big white bungalow - had to be 2000 sq ft on the main and the walk out basement was completely finished too. And to think they got the house just the year before they moved the river which ended up in the back yard.
Before that they had a house on main street right where Victoria street tees into it. Kind of a two story brownstone. Across the street were a beautiful pair of Victorian 3 story houses complete with corner turrets, gingerbread and all the trimmings.

Re: Middleton!
Middleton wouldn't have been a bad place to live. Use to be there every Monday night for Cadets at the high school. Been on parade for November 11th outside Soldiers Memorial Hospital several times... better then being inside I suppose.
One of the guy's who lived in Nictaux Falls, his father was the first person in Nova Scotia to paint "AMBULANCE" backwards on the hood so people could read it in their rear view mirrors. He probably had a name, just can't remember it now!
