Just ran across this on the new Steam4me.net site. It's called "Open Rails" and it's an open source project that has sprung up that intends on providing a brand new graphics engine for us to "train sim" on. It will be backwards compatible with MSTS files and files structure but will also provide many more features than before and all documented!
