DAR Wolfville

Post by Paul Charland »

Hi All,

I thought I'd share some screen shots of Wolfville from the Dominion Atlantic route I'm working on. Wolfville is the home of Acadia University and several fruit and vegetable warehouses. In 1974 the railway delivered cars to 19 different customers ranging for customers that shipped or received cars on a nearly daily basis to one time customers served from the team track.

The crew of Train 24 has completed switching Port Williams and will soon make their way to Wolfville.

Image

First stop at the south end of Wolfville is Kent Foods to lift an empty insulated boxcar.

Image

The crew breaks their train in two to clear the Elm Street crossing while they switch.

Image

An empty is lifted from Rafuse Building Supply.

Image

8137 and the Rafuse empty are seen crossing Elm Street, the car will have to be added to the rear of the train.

Image

With their train reassembled, the crew is ready to continue east towards Windsor.

I just finished donwloading it. It was fast. I've got Shaw high speed at 7 MBps and it took under 10 minutes @ an average of 401 KBps. Decent.

I'll be loading it up towards the end of the week. Sorry I can't hop on it right away but I'm swamped until Wednesday at least for now.

The screen shots look superb and I can hardly wait to get to work running from Kentville to Wolfville now.

Thank you Paul for this superb line so far!

Hi Steve,

I've had to upload the beta to a third site, just waiting to see if anyone uses it to see how it works before making the beta available to the group. Giga has been acting odd and SendThisFile wouldn't let the second and third persons to download saying the file was no longer on the server, but the fourth person to try had no trouble... odd stuff but would like something more stable.

Paul :-)
