I seem to be missing textures for some of the track sections. This is brought to my attention every time I put the checkmark in the window that allows one to see the various track sections in the Placement window of Route Editor. The error I get on some track sections is for Concrete3.ace and Concrete4.ace. I did a complete search of my computer and these files simply do not exist. Where do these files come from?
I do have XTRACKS and Newroads installed. From the writeups I found about these two programs, everything seems to be where it belongs within MSTS. I even downloaded and installed sniperstuffit4 and even though many new objects are available in Route Editor, the same problem exists for the track sections. I can tell which track sections will cause an error because I do not see a picture of the item in the Placement window in Route Editor.
Have included a cpl screens that may help
notice how A1t0_2mStrt.s and A1t100................ do not have an image

Re: missing textures
Hi Harold,
Any chance the two MIA textures are "ConcreteColor3.ace" and "ConcreteColor4.ace" (if so these are two of my textures from buildings you may have downloaded), I had a look through my track and can't find any reference to "Concrete3.ace". Track is usually a vertical shot of ten ties with rain and ballast showing.
A note though... once you are use to working with track sections, turn off the thumbnail and you will save a lot of time scrolling through this stuff. Your problem could be simply no thumbnail was generated when the file was created years ago and you will never see one. Scrolling through the track sections or road section is slowed greatly when the thumbnails are turned on and in the past, when you hit something that is missing a thumbnail it could cause Route Editor to crash which rarely has put a smile on my face.
Only time I really use the thumbnails is when I have a structure divided into several parts and need to reassemble it in RE.

Re: missing textures
Hi Paul - and thanks
The teture missing is Concrete4.ace (at least that's one of them) which is displayed in the error message image I posted (above).
I believe your 2nd reason for the error is correctly identified - the thumbnail or bitmap (whatever you want to call it) simply isn't there. Too bad, though, because seeing the images of the track sections I feel would ba a bonus - in spite of their slowing down the process.
I also agree with you about when RE halts and/or crashing when a blank one of these items is arrived at not making you smile. This DOES NOT make me smile as well, because any previous work is lost unless work is saved prior to the error.
