S-12 that was slightly modified to sort of look like a RS-23

If it's smaller than a bread box then it belongs in here. Post comments, stories, photos and whatever else seems appropriate for a model railway forum.

S-12 that was slightly modified to sort of look like a RS-23

Post by SamuelMClark »

My custom painted WHRC 8046

The paint job was not done by me, I don't have those sorts of skills but Tim Hayman does!

Side view, Tim didn't put the grey line over the side grills though on an RS-23 there is no side grills only a front one.

This work was done by Tim Hayman. S-12 converted a bit to look a bit more like RS-23 and painted in WHRC colours

Interesting.

Are you aware that there is an RS-23 resin kit? The first run is for CN and GWWD. Looks like the CP version will come later.

If you're interested, the current kit can be used to model CN 8700's, which were regulars in the Halifax/Dartmouth area in the 1980s and 90s.

Thought I'd show you Tim's other work that he did for me which is of the WHRC caboose which is still in Windsor. Next week when I'm back up that way I'll get a photo of the model with the real one!

My Engine and Caboose together for the first time, (no track because the photo was taken at work, since Tim rather close to where I work)
