Web Server Woes

After all the problems this last 2 weeks with the firewall and getting that put to bed, the server crashed it's database affecting all web sites. All of the sites I serve with the database were down but forcing it into a recovery mode I was at least able to get the wiki site to hang in there long enough to manually get all the changed pages and images recorded so I could manually re-enter them.

As the database was unrecoverable and would not even let me restore the backups, my only choice was to restore the whole VM. The last backup copy I made was May 30 so from then to now, anything that was added has now vanished into the ether.

However, I will renter the wiki pages and images that I was able to save but the forum and all the other web sites including the HSWDPI.ca have also lost any data entered between may 30 and now.

My apologies but considering this is the only crash we have had in 11 years, we've done pretty well I think for a hobby website.
