I'm looking at the drawings right now to work out a mileage conversion between 1969 memo and the old and old-old mileages shown on the track charts.

Horizontally each tiny little square is 100' and subsequently each large square is 1000' feet correct?

Yes, that is correct.

And the vertical dimension is each line up or down is 1 foot. And each small square up/down is 5 feet, and each large square up/down is 50 feet.
