The topic has come up that while 2 different DPI wikis (DAR & HSW) still makes sense at this point, perhaps it's time to consider a single forum for both railways and for possible railways to come in the future.
We could call it something like the NSRDPI forum and have a section to discuss each railway separately plus a general section for NS railway preservation in general.
Would our faithful readers and contributors be in favor of such a change?
Please respond because for some reason the vote won't work.

Me too. Tried another poll on another message but it gave the same error so I will erase the poll question and let everyone just reply with your feedback.

I believe amalgamation would be a positive step by bringing all resources together. Seems that would be more efficient for all concerned.

When I tried the first link Steve sent I got a 'your not authorized to read this'!
As far as the forum goes, the DAR forum is pretty quiet. Maybe combining the three wouldn't hurt if it's something that would help you out in the end.

Sounds like a good idea to me.

I guess I could hardly be classed as a "faithful forum reader" - other irons in the fire as far as my flight sim group and some unresolved health issues, I haven't been as faithful as I would like to be. That being said, amalgamation of the forums may be a good move.

Re: Forum Amalgamation?
I looked into this quite thoroughly and there's not a 1-2-3 way to merge 3 databases into one. A few people claim success but most who tried made a mess.
The alternative, which to me is NOT an alternative is to start over fresh which effectively discards all previous posts.
I will continue to investigate from time to time and hopefully someone will come up with a method or a tool to do this in the future.
