The show was a success! Samuel provided a laptop with Paul's simulator, and it got a lot of positive comments. Thanks to Samuel, Nelson, Dan, Tim and Ashley for working the table.

Dan borrowed the number plate from no. 26 from a private collector in Halifax. Lots of photos of it were taken! I consider this to be the pinnacle of DAR memorabilia and got my picture taken with it. I tried uploading photos, but the software doesn't like photos from my Samsung S3.

I made contact with two former employees. Hopefully they will share their stories here. There were also locals who had stories of relatives who worked for the railways. I asked that they write and submit them.

I ended up writing my contact info on scraps of paper. Not very professional, and we should have cards for the next show.

I had a lot of fun. The show was steady, but not swamped. There was a lot of interest and it kept me very busy. Not much down time. I would like to set up at other events and continue our "community outreach." I'm thinking the Bridgewater Exhibition, and the Berwick fair. If anyone knows of other events, let me know, and I'll need at least one other person to work each show.

Good show everyone and Matt I think you did the lion's share of time at the table.
My talk went over really well. I did 30 minutes of "The DAR in Colour" drawing on images from the site and had four slides plugging the DAR DPI. Here is the number plate I borrowed from a DAR family for the show. Will add to the main site in a few days.

No. 32's number plate. Wow. That is sweet and a real treasure. One wonders if we could get a casting from that and make some plastics or whatever replicas!!!

Right down to the tuscan paint! That confirms the tuscan colour at least since CPR ran the line instead of the described "magenta" one reads so much about.

I just had an awesome thought. Anyone got a 3D scanner?

Again today as I read what Matt wrote one more time all I can think about is how cool it is that this D.A.R. gang is keeping the memory and stories of the D.A.R. alive. Thanks to all at the tables, especially Samuel and Matt running Paul's digital D.A.R. and a big one to Dan too for the talk and the cool number plates that must have attracted a lot of attention as well.

Just thinking, maybe next year you could set something up in Kentville during the Apple Blossom Festival, they must have some kind of exhibit location.

Good idea I asked Tim to do up a couple of GP35s in a CP colors with the DAR logo the the front and back as a what if factor I wanted to keep the DAR alive with the WHRC look to it something I think they shod have done.

Hey guys, any interest in doing something like this? I'd love one for myself and I bet everyone else would too. Definitely wouldn't be cheap (maybe not too expensive either?) but after we do it, perhaps we can figure out how to monitize it for the benefit of the museum.

Change of plans. I won't be attending the Truro show.
