I'd like to know the exact location of this photo. Not sure if it is Smith's Cove, Bear River, or Deep Brook.

Yes, the S curve just south of the Bear River bridge. There's a few other shots in the library taken from the same spot.

Yeah, that's it. I call it the "Bear River Curve", the DAR's equivalent of Morant's curve in the Rockies and the subject of many shots over the years. You can see a sequence of them here from one early one with the fill still fresh to one in the 1970s: http://www.dardpi.ca/wiki/index.php?title=Bear_River
The S curve, the Digby gap in the background and the little point of land created a nice photo op, right beside the highway.
