A D.A.R Steamship Lines broach belonging to his mother and donated to the museum by Iain Murray of Scotland. By merit of the sale of the D.A.R. SS Line to the Boston & Yarmouth Co. in 1912, it is estimated to be between 1895 and 1912. The Royal crown is the St. Edward crown albeit slighly mis-shapen for the sake of production of the broach that publications, food service items and engine numberplates used. The coat of arms is the 1867-1929 coat of arms of Nova Scotia.
